I recently got final cut express 4 and im trying to learn it. But everytime i plug in my panasonic camera to upload the videos to the computer, the videos dont show up on final cut express. Instead it shows up on imovie and asks which ones i want to upload. How do i fix this? And also when I import a movie to final cut from imovie, i have to keep rendering the video, is there any way to fix this?
"Glenn" is correct if the "Panasonic camera" is miniDV tape based and you are connecting that camera to your Mac with a Firewire cable… but since you did not tell us which "panasonic camera" or which storage media the camera uses for video or whether you are using USB or firewire, there is no way for us to know for sure.
If it is a flash memory or hard disc drive based camcorder, in Final Cut you should be selecting "Log and Capture".
It would also help if we knew whether this is an AVCHD compressing high definition camcorder or standard definition video or a still camera that happens to capture video as a "convenience feature".
I have comcast high speed internet, and i have a wireless router hooked up to it(NETGEAR) i been using my laptop and try to play videos but the videos don’t play right, it plays for 2 seconds and buffers for 5, and that goes on and on.
Can someone explain why this is happening, and how can i fix it.
It’s just a when the connection isn’t downloading the video fast enough.
To fix it: All you can do is pause the video at the start until a lot of it is loaded and then you can watch it without it buffering half way through, it’s a pain, I know, but that’s all you can do.
I have two video clips that I want to combine into one video, where each clip plays simultaneously side by side. How would I do this? The only video editing software I have is Windows Movie Maker and Pro Tools.

I have recently purchased a Sony Bloggie video camcorder but I’m having some trouble getting the videos from the camcorder to my pc.
I plugged it in with the usb but the issue is it’s only showing me videos which are saved to the camcorder and not the ones which are saved to the memory card.
Is there a way I can transfer the memory card videos to the camcorder memory?

You need a card reader … Some of the computers have an incorporated card-reader, if not you can buy a card reader form any Walmart/BestBuy or any other electronics store/department … The card reader are cheap $10 – $15 … and you can find some 16 in one, or 24, even 36 in one … all will be ready to read your SDHC card or Memory Stick Pro Duo card – depends what kind of card you have in the camera.
